Unveiling the Walled Garden
Renewable energy and Recycling Day was organised by Haeley Wood Residents association on 22nd April 09. Various organisations present were BBC, Northern Solar, Help Direct, Tesco Community initiative, LCC, Burnley Community Alliance.
More than 60 people attended. Among the gathering were some children and families from the local community who took part in *Walled Garden Project *supported by faiths4Change. Mural designed by children was unveiled by local Councillor and Jenny Fern (senior officer) from Burnley Borough Council.
Attendees benefited from the information and free bees and the day was full of fun activities for the children. To find out more about the Walled Garden Project please see our story page.
